Binary Table
Limited Edition Binary Table by Richard Liddle (edition of 10)
The product is a digitally designed and 3D printed table. The Binary Table was the first design created from Cohda’s revolutionary Binary process. The process uses digitally drawn spirographs to generate bespoke computer files that can be 3D printed in full scale. The spirals are drawn directly into the ‘Binary desk’ via a digital screen where a computer programme adds a third dimension to the drawing by tracking the user’s speed, pressure and time.
The Binary Table is then 3D printed from the generated product file via SLS (click here for more info) with partner company FOC and is currently available as Limited Edition of 10. The 3D manufacture process allows the printing of unique, customised products. This latest design has been widely covered in the press, as the first step towards digital ownership of products and the future possibilities in Rapid Prototyping.
